I hope that all of you guys are doing awesome.So I've done some research into some cheaper alternatives to face masks and facials on the whole. And to my surprise I found that in my kitchen was residing a whole wealth of stuff (food items), that can be used on the face. Some i've heard of before like honey and oats, but i didn't know of aspirin, yogurt etc... so i decided to leave with you a recipe (probally , i'll do this as a series)
Oatmeal and Yogurt Face Mask
This face mask is suitable for all skin types and is super simple to prepare. It will cleanse and rejuvenate your skin. (i'm not a dermatologist, so please be careful with use).
Preparation Time : 5-10 mins
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp oatmeal, finely ground
- 1 tbsp live, organic yogurt (skip the flavored stuff)
- A few drops of honey (optional)
Method
Add the yogurt to the oatmeal in a small bowl and mix together thoroughly until it become a paste, add a few drops of honey (optional) and continue to mix until, you get the texture required.
Allow it to "rest" for a while.
Apply the mask to the face. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then rinse off with several splashes of warm water. Follow with a warm washcloth.
